BAT RESEARCHER POSITION
Apogee Environmental & Archaeological, Inc. is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position(s) of bat researcher(s). We are looking for an individual(s) with the necessary experience to handle and identify bats of the eastern United States including the endangered Indiana and gray bats. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are responsible, well organized, professional, self-motivated, posses a valid driver’s license, willing to travel for extended periods of time, work in potentially tough conditions, and excel in strategic task management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A federal endangered species permit for Indiana and gray bats or the ability to obtain one
- Integrity and ability to perform field work at night
- Working knowledge of acoustical monitoring equipment
- Knowledge and ability to conduct radio telemetry work
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations in regards to Indiana bat survey protocols
- Rabies Vaccination
- B.S. degree or in progress in wildlife related field
